Bangkok Glass FC’s in-form striker Ariel Rodriguez Araya has earned a re-call to the Costa Rican national team for the Caribbean nation’s double-header against Jamaica in FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this month.
Since arriving to Thailand from Deportivo Saprissa club in his native country in the close season, the 26-year-old Ariel has made a promising start to his life at the Leo Stadium, scoring three goals in as many Thai League matches.
“I’m very happy that I could perform well for Bangkok Glass FC, which led to me getting a recall to the Costa Rica team.”
“I’ll try to help my country win both (World Cup qualifying) games,” said Araya, whose goals helped Bangkok Glass climb to third spot in the league standings.
Costa Rica are currently leading the way in Group B after claiming a maximum six points from the first two matches.
