Costa Rica coach Jorge Luis Pinto has named a 26-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil, with three names to be cut before the competition.
The Colombian has chosen Wellington Phoenix star Carlos Hernandez and six other FIA players in the squad including Captain Michael Umana (Saprissa), Goalkeeper Patrick Pemberton (Alajuelense), Michael Barrantes (Aalesund) and MLS stars Waylon Francis, Jairo Arieta (Columbus Crew) and Roy Miller (Red Bull New York).
Costa Rica will face England, Italy and Uruguay in Group D, with its first match against Uruguay in Fortaleza on 14 June.
The Ticos will also play pre-tournament friendlies against Japan on 2 June and Republic of Ireland four days later, both games in the United States.
