FIA Sports Management is pleased to announce that Carmelo Gonzalez has signed for Suphanburi FC.
Carmelo joins the club from Thai Champions Buriram United where he spent the previous 2 seasons.
After a long career making his name in the Spanish Primera Liga with Sporting Gijon and Levante, the attacking midfielder left his homeland in 2013 when he signed for Buriram and was an instant hit in Thailand, netting an amazing 26 goals in all competition as his side went on to claim the domestic treble of the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup.
Last season, the 31-year-old had another successful season scoring 17 goals from 37 as the club retained the league crown.
Carmelo spoke of his excitement in joining Suphanburi FC: “This move gives me new challenges. Suphanburi is a team with great potential. I am now fully prepared after the preseason break and I will adapt my playing style to that of my new club. I hope to use my experience to get Suphanburi FC into the AFC Champions League.”
Carmelo Gonzalez has begun life at Suphanburi well, scoring in the Final of the Chang Chonburi Invitation 2015 to help the club win.
