Javier Patino Lachica (14 February 1988) is a Spanish / Filipino striker who plays for Chinese Super League club Henan Jianye and the Philippines National Team.
At the age of 23, Javier Patino signed his first professional contract in the 2011 summer and moved straight to the Spanish Second Division, signing a three-year contract with Córdoba CF. In his first year with the Andalusians, Patino scored eight goals in 35 games.
On the last day of the January 2013 transfer window, Javier Patino was transferred to Buriram United in the Thai Premier League, Patino marked his debut for Buriram with a brace in their 6-1 thrashing of Songkhla United F.C.
Patino quickly established himself as one of the most lethal strikers in Asia, scoring 36 goals from 63 appearances over two seasons for the club.
His trophey laden spell with Buriram included two Thai Premier League titles, three Thai cups, several Player of the Month Awards and an inclusion in the Thai Premier League Best XI for the 2014 season.
In January 2015, Javier Patino moved to Henan Jianye in the Chinese Super League becoming the first ever Filipino to play in the China. Patino’s first season in China was a successful one, scoring 11 goals in 27 matches to become Henan Jianye’s top goalscorer for the 2015 season.
In late 2012, Javier Patino was reported to be applying for citizenship of the Philippines, to open the possibility of playing international football for that country. He successfully obtained his Filipino passport just in time for the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup qualification tournament which took place from 24–26 March 2013 in Manila, and made it into the final 23-man squad.

On 24 March 2013 Javier Patino scored twice in his debut for the Philippines, an 8–0 win against Cambodia.Two days later he played the full 90 minutes against Turkmenistan, helping his team win 1–0 and qualify for the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup.
On 11 June 2015, Patino scored the winning goal for the Philippines in a historic win for the Azkals as they defeated Bahrain 2-1 in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier to go top of their group.
