Kendall Waston
Kendall Waston (1 January 1988) is a central defender who plays for Vancouver Whitecaps FC in Major League Soccer (MLS) and the Costa Rican national team.
Waston previously played for Carmelita in the Primera División de Costa Rica and for Club Nacional de Football in the Primera División Uruguaya.
On March 2010, Waston signed a 3 month loan deal with Bayamon FC of the Puerto Rico Soccer League to help the club qualify for the CONCACAF Champions League.
Waston enjoyed loan stints as UCR and Perez Zeledon from Saprissa for three seasons before rejoing the Costa Rican giants for the 2013/14 season.
He enjoyed a breakout seasons for Saprissa making 31 appearances and scoring 8 goals for the season.
On 8 August 2014, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC signed Kendall Waston from Saprissa, joining the club midway through the 2014 season.
Waston has represented the Costa Rican national team on 3 occasions and was part of the Tico’s pre-World Cup squad in 2014.
